Why matte paint needs it more than gloss
Matte paint cannot be polished, waxed or compounded. A bird dropping etched in, a scuff from a wash mitt, a chip on the bumper: on gloss you correct it, on matte you repaint the panel. Matte PPF puts a sacrificial, self-healing layer on top so those things happen to the film instead.
Does it change the look?
No. Ceramic Pro Matte PPF is engineered to match a factory satin finish. Side by side with an unwrapped panel it is hard to tell; we do a test panel on request before committing to the car.
How it is installed
Same as gloss film: trim and badges off, panels cut to the car, edges wrapped, installed wet in our climate-controlled bay. Matte film shows imperfections more than gloss, so the bay and the prep matter even more.
What it costs
Full-car matte PPF starts at $5,549. Front-only matte coverage is quoted per car. Every install carries the Ceramic Pro warranty against yellowing, cracking and delamination.
Aftercare
pH-neutral soap, no wax, no polish, no automatic brushes. Matte PPF is far more forgiving than matte paint, but the rules are the same.
