Why now and not later
- New paint needs a light correction, not a heavy one. Cheaper and safer.
- The coating locks in delivery condition. Every week without it is a week of UV, sprinklers and washing.
- Dealer lots wash with brushes. The sooner the car leaves that routine, the less there is to fix.
What to do at the dealership
Decline the finance-office protection package. Ask them not to wash the car before delivery, or at least not with brushes. Bring it to us within two weeks.
Coating, film, or both
- Garage-kept city car: a Ceramic Pro package from $499 is enough.
- Highway commuter: Full Front PPF from $1,799, which includes a $549 Ceramic Pro coating.
- Keeper, dark paint, or anything German or Japanese with soft paint: both, and consider Track Package for the rockers.
Which package
Match the warranty to how long you will keep the car: Bronze 2-year, Silver 5-year, ION 7-year, Gold and Ultimate ION lifetime.
