Six things film does that nothing else does
- Stops rock chips. Film is 8 mils of urethane. A stone thrown at highway speed dents it and the topcoat heals; the same stone takes paint down to primer.
- Heals swirls and wash marks. The topcoat re-flows with heat. Light scratches from towels, brushes and fingernails at the door handle disappear on a hot afternoon.
- Blocks etching. Love-bug season (May and September here), bird droppings, tree sap and sprinkler minerals etch clear coat within days. On film they sit on top and wash off.
- Keeps color. Ceramic Pro film is UV-stable and warrantied against yellowing. The paint under it never sees the sun.
- Holds resale value. A used car with original, chip-free paint under film sells for more and faster than one with a resprayed bumper on the Carfax.
- Makes washing easy. Add a ceramic coating over the film and dirt stops sticking. We include the coating with every Full Front and Full Body.
What film does not do
Shopping carts, keys and parking-lot doors hit the film, not the paint: the film takes the mark or gets replaced, and the panel underneath stays untouched. It is not a wrap: it is clear, and on a clean install you cannot see it. It does not replace washing. And it is not forever: expect ten-plus years with care, then it peels off cleanly and the paint underneath is new.
Which panels, in order
